How we work: Architecture

A building project is a big undertaking, so we like to make the journey clear from the start. Here’s what to expect, and what we’ll be doing at every step.

1. Brief: understanding your big idea

We start with a conversation, not a form: a relaxed phone chat, a visit to your home or site, then a detailed fee proposal so you can compare us fairly. Once you’re on board, we talk about how you live, what you love (and hate!) and what’s realistically possible. You don’t need to have it all worked out. “I haven’t really thought about it” is a perfectly good place to begin.

2. Concept Design: exploring the possibilities

Here’s the exciting bit. We look at the planning, technical and budget factors, then explore your project in 3D, often with options you hadn’t thought of. We workshop them with you until you’re happy, then take the final scheme through planning on your behalf.

3. Tendering: choosing the right builder

Once the drawings are done, we find builders who suit your project and send each the same detailed information, so their prices compare like for like. We help you choose the right builder for you, not just the cheapest, and put the right contract in place.

4. Construction Phase Assistance: seeing it through

Getting to site isn’t the finish line. We stay involved as concept guardians, visiting site, answering your builder’s queries and acting as your single point of contact, so what gets built is what you signed off.
